Hi Friends!
While I was back in Virginia earlier this month for a wedding, my family and I had an early Thanksgiving celebration. It’s one of my favorite holidays because it’s the one that everyone in my family attends and we just eat and party. Because I wasn’t going to be back for real Thanksgiving or Christmas, I thought I’d give everyone a little surprise early holiday gift: painted hand lettered ornaments!

For each family I spelled out everyone’s names, including pets, and their family name in my brush calligraphy type. I love how simple they are but still add a nice touch to the Christmas tree. They were a hit!

Want to make your own? All you need is a steady hand, solid ornaments (you can get these at Michael’s!), a thin paint brush, and acrylic paint. Want those fun polka dots? I used a toothpick!
They are a little time consuming to make sure you get each letter right, however they dry fairly quickly.

To dry, I set the ornaments upside down in rolls of washi tape. If you have ornament hooks, just hang them up everywhere!
