Hi Friends!
I’m still settling into San Diego while doing a LOT of sight seeing. I did my first grown up trip to Disneyland and it was so much better than when I went around 13-14 years old! I definitely was able to appreciate everything about it and was there for ME. When I was younger my whole M.O. was “oh, I’m just hear for my little brothers. We’re here for THEM. I’m cool.” Haha! I was such a punk teen!
While I’m still getting my bearings and unpacking my box of crafts (how sad that it’s condensed to ONE box!) I wanted to share a cool Instagram photo project that was co-hosted by one of my favorite calligraphers, Fozzy Castro-Dayrit. The idea is for 10 straight days, you write out lyrics to party songs. I love handlettering and I love party songs, so naturally I was all about it.
Here are my entries. Some are definitely a lot better than others, so it was a great lesson in practicing different techniques and styles. My new custom confetti from The Confetti Bar was a perfect addition.
